KODAMA Scam Tricker
An AI persona answers the scam call so a real person never has to — and keeps the scammer talking, and talking, and talking.
Scam callers prey on the people who pick up: older parents, grandparents, anyone who still answers an unknown number. Scam Tricker hands that call to a patient, slightly-confused AI character who wastes the caller’s time and keeps them away from your family. It’s a Kodama Mirai product.
A note on where we are, up front: today Scam Tricker is a working, fully simulated demo. It does not yet handle live phone calls, record audio, or collect any personal data. Early access — private demos, design partners, and a limited real-call trial — is targeted for December 15, 2026, pending legal review. We would rather tell you exactly what is real than dress up a prototype.
Why it exists
- Scams hit the vulnerable hardest. The people most likely to answer and engage are older adults, and the emotional and financial damage of a successful scam is large.
- Hanging up doesn’t feel like winning. Blocking a number does nothing to the person on the other end. Scam Tricker flips it: the scammer loses their time, and the family gets to watch it happen.
- It should be safe by design, not by promise. An anti-scam tool that quietly harvested call data would be its own kind of predator. Scam Tricker is built the opposite way (see Privacy & safety).
What you can do with it
- Hand a suspicious call to a built-in AI persona that keeps the caller rambling.
- Watch the transcript play out and see how much of the scammer’s time got wasted.
- Protect a whole household — a family organizer can set up protection for up to five people, and each person controls their own choices.

Privacy & safety are the product
These are design commitments, verifiable in the working build — not marketing lines:
- No audio, transcripts, phone numbers, contacts, or personal information are collected. The data a scam tool could abuse simply isn’t gathered.
- Everything is opt-in and reversible. Any data-sharing is off by default and can be turned off again at any time.
- Minors are protected by design. Members under 18 are never enrolled in any data program.
- Fail-closed. Every sensitive capability is disabled by default; nothing “goes live” without an explicit, reviewed decision.
